"A Disease Called Poetry" is a poetry collection that is both heavy and raw. Author, Melissa M. Combs, takes us on a journey into mental health, with the intent of connecting the correlation between mental health and creativity. Although this was important to convey, Combs states, "it is most important that this collection makes any and all, (not just those that are creative), feel validated in their struggles with mental health.
