Long ago, in a land far away I became a shifter. Actually, it was only a year. Why the goddess chose me, I'll never know. Once a month, the moon forces me to become a cougar. It wouldn't be so bad if I knew where I was or what I'm doing. Instead, I'm relegated to a deep abyss of nothingness until my shifter side deems it the right time to slink into the shadows once more. I'm told it gets better. I'm told the goddess chose me for a reason. I'm not sure if I believe it. Now, I'm headed to Moon Cove for shifter lessons. It should be humiliating, but I'm choosing to focus on the positive-like the captivating woman I'm staying with. Kira is exactly who I've been missing in my life. If I play my cards right, we'll go from our no-strings-attached situation to something more. Hopefully, I can convince her we're meant to be together, despite our differences.
