The Birdland Hotel is a story about a group of birds who learn to accept their differences and work together to achieve a successful outcome. The birds all behave differently based on their personal beliefs about such things as beauty, wisdom, size, and helpfulness to others. At first, they are all very proud of their differences and don't want to be like anyone else. However, when a storm hits the hotel, they realize that they need to work together to survive. They learn that their differences can actually be an asset, and that they can achieve more by working together than they ever could by themselves.
