This book focuses on one of many communication challenges autistic children face daily,
no eye contact. One coping and masking method when communicating with neurotypical
children for this child is using her sunglasses as a great fashion statement. Her daily use of her
many sunglasses not only helps her to cope with her eye contact challenges but also helps her to
identify social cues, learning new skills and communicating effectively. This book is intended to
help all readers understand one of many challenges children with Autism encounter. Our hope is
that while you are enjoying the story it brings awareness on how to communicate with the
neurodiverse community and accept them for who and where they are.
