"The Hamas group from Palestine attacked Israel in October 2023. A war broke out and over 1,300 people have died so far in the past week. I am not sure of anti-Zionism, but if I were Israeli, I wouldn't have tried to expand my territory against Palestinians. Technically, the land of current Israel doesn't have much commercial values - no oil, agriculture or water resources. I would try to keep some lands near Tel Aviv, which is over 10 times bigger than Hong Kong or Singapore, and try to build a new city like Dubai there. I wouldn't have fought over useless lands with poor Palestinians; I would rather let them keep most of it as I need what I need. The fact that we don't think practically can be a reason to be poor. Land used to have "absolute values" in agricultural societies, but that's an old concept, not applicable any more. Also, I wouldn't stick to Jerusalem itself necessarily, only because my ancestors lived there once. The point is to obtain new land to settle safely. 90% of Australia or Canada are virtually empty now. I like to think what would Moses do if he leads now - by the time he led the Exodus of the Israelites out of Egypt, North America was not even discovered yet."
