Armed with good looks, an engaging personality, and a talent for reading people, Bernadette Scott plays a mean game of Texas Hold 'em. She makes her living playing in tournaments and does well for herself. Carlos de la Hoya is a man with a mission. He needs to convince Bernie to work for him to trap a malicious rogue, Eduardo, and sees Bernie as a means to an end. Bernie sees his plan as a way to make 3 million dollars quickly. Neither of them anticipates the strong attraction that pulls them together which could place both of them in danger.
