Laura has fled the city for the countryside with her partner, Monique, and their cat. There, she becomes obsessed with a vulnerable young neighbour, Dougal.
The couple buy part of a farm building for a bargain price and begin work to convert it into holiday homes but the seller's nephew, Dougal, tells them disturbing tales about "Wiley," who he believes is watching him. Laura comes to realize that there might be more to "Wiley," but also believes the nephew is being fed terrifying tales by his aunt in order to control and exploit him.
Locals warn Laura and Monique them to leave alone a windowless shed at the edge of the building because "nothing does well" there.
What Laura and Monique don't realize is that making their dream of an idyllic countryside home come true might take more than either of them could bargain for.
