James Benedict was born shortly after WWII as a baby boomer. Grew-up in Maine
and went to the Main Maritime Academy graduating with a BS degree in Engineering,
Commission for the United States Navy and License as a Third Engineer. After shipping
on the seas to Africa, entered a Benedictine Monastery to study for the priesthood
and took the name of Br. James, hence the pen name of James Benedict. He worked
for Internationa Paper for 34 years in various management positions. His passions
in life taught him a Reverence for God, Respect for life, and Honor to strive to do
right. In the twilight of his life, he very much enjoys his grandchildren and writing.
