The 12th Girl

Geology graduate student Lauren Tammers is abducted off the street by two men in Athens, Georgia in the early morning hours while doing a run. She is dropped into an open field hours later as two other men are leashing caged hounds, and one tells her to run for her life. Lauren escapes and realizes her continued survival depends on her becoming nameless, that the operation to take her was complex and required resources, that the hunt isn't over. But who will believe her story? Lauren will become as cunning and ruthless as her abductor, torturing and killing to make law enforcement pay attention. She teams up with her trusted graduate advisor, Maggie, and now they are being hunted, by the monster and by law enforcement. It is a race to lead the searchers into contact and conflict with each other before either finds Lauren and Maggie. Will it ever be over?
