During the aftermath of a school bus wreck caused by a drunken biker, Rain Nelson finds a map leadingto a white buffalo robe with a Cheyenne peace treaty marked on it during the Night the Stars fell from the Skies.In attempting to retrieve the relic, Rain kills a crooked cop and goes to prison. Years later, his son, 13-year-old Reason Nelson, finds the map hidden behind an award his dad won before going to prison. The map places Reason at odds with the Nomad, a cold-blooded killer.
