This book highlights the importance of a wife's posture of humility and submission to her husband, the head of her. In this modern era, the word "submission" is a dreaded word to many. It is perceived as a weakness, especially to persons, women in this case, who are strong-willed, but it needs to be understood that submission is not derived from man. Submission is of God and commanded by scriptures for a wife to reverence her husband. "The Wife Who Submits" is a scriptural revelation from the book of Esther, where two queens, as wives, demonstrated different characteristics. Queen Vashti portrayed acts of rebellion, disrespect, and irreverence towards her husband, the king, for which she was banished and replaced by Queen Esther, the wife who portrayed, meekness, honour and submission towards her husband and experienced the favor of God.

This revelation was as a result of the author's background, where growing up she witnessed rebellion by female members of her family portrayed as a norm. The author, Tavia, realized that her marriage was on the verge of being affected by that same spirit of rebellion, and in desperation, for it to be broken from her life, she sought the Lord for answers through prayer, fasting, and reading the Word (Bible). The Lord directed her to the book of Esther to meditate as He revealed the two spirits; one of rebellion that operated in Queen Vashti and the other spirit of submission conveyed by Queen Esther, and the result that each brings. By this, the Lord is revealing to many wives, whose marriage is being affected in this area, and women who aspire to marry, that submission and having a spirit of meekness towards your husband is not an act of being weak but rather an honorable strength and power which attracts favor and is well-pleasing to God.
