The Midsummer Matter

As Kestrel's eleventh birthday approaches, she wishes things didn't have to change. She's finishing fifth grade. She's starting puberty. And Grandpa's illness is worse. If only things could stay they way they were when she was younger, everything would be perfect.

But change has to happen, and Kestrel is thankful to have her family and friends supporting her, and to be able to support them in their own changes, as she makes her way into the next year of her life.
