In 1978, The United States Purity Act was initiated to protect our citizens from the devastating effects of pornography, with the hope that future generations may be born Immaculate. But over the years, the amendments grew stifling. Flirting is now akin to promiscuity. And lipstick was long ago relegated to the realm of folklore. Only the eldest of our communities-the Immoral Generation-remember a world that allowed such liberties.

Clara, photographer and owner of an all female art collective, has dedicated her life to the most worthy of causes: Eternal Chastity. But when an anarchist group working for the liberation of sexual expression puts on a savage exhibition during the annual Purity Festival, Clara-and the city she loves-is launched into chaos. Some fight against the unrest, while others succumb to their suppressed curiosity. But in a world devoid of sexual expression for generations, many cannot handle this newfound freedom. Morality becomes confinement. Experimentation becomes a vice. And some begin to lose their minds in the face of an unfathomable new society.

SEX FOR POETS is many things. It's a high art literary interpretation of erotica. A psychological vivisection of sexual freedom. A tale of war between the old ways and the new. And a story of loss, revenge, and a new kind of love.
