This steamy autobiographical account of J.M. Valente is a noteworthy and truthful memoir telling the story of his life from 1952 to 2007 in a gentle-mannered yet surprisingly riveting narrative of his awkward beginnings, early awakenings, and the various endings in his fast-paced way of life.
He had an awkward start in life, having been diagnosed with Polio at the tender age of three. He spent a year and a half of his early life in the Hospital. While he eventually learned to walk again, he had to wear leg braces, identical to the fictional character of ‘Forrest Gump.’ However, the real page-turning experience for readers begins when Valente discusses his very early initiation with Females and losing his Virginity at a rather young age, and engaging in ‘booty calls’ with an ex-girlfriend. Throughout the memoir, he would continue to divulge juicy details about his sex and romantic life.
However, Valente applies a well-placed pause on that salacious topic as he inserts a somber discussion about family life and the slow loss of his only brother to drugs which eventually got him killed in a car accident. Ultimately, Valente’s quiet yet sincere storytelling renews readers’ attentions page after page, keeping them glued with a clever mix of persuasion, enticement, and brave honesty.
His intriguing and unique autobiography, THE TIME OF MY LIVES, includes song titles that fittingly prolong the mood of each event in his multi-faceted life, which creates the atmosphere that is often found in excellent Movies.
