This is volume 11 about the Scroggins family. She primary character is Sonny Scroggins, the oldest son of Lewis and Jo Scroggins whose story is in volume 5 entitled this road I’m on. This book is laced with adventure from beginning to end with a balance of romance which should keep the interest of any reader. Sonny, a scuba diver instructor and an old Vietnam helicopter pilot was the only one with credentials to rescue a friend who had been taken captive to work on a special scientific assignment. When the plans went awry, sonny had to improvise just to stay alive. Like all the Scroggins novels, this story is completely fiction and any identity to real people or incidents is entirely coincidental.
