Influenced by Japanese haiku poets Basho and Issa, Luke Levi's haiku poems focus on nature, love, beauty, and peace. Known for his calming and optimistic poetry, Levi has collected his favorite and most popular haiku into Windswept Leaves.

More than 170 haiku are included, a handful of which are viral poems shared across social media. Many of the poems were first published in haiku magazines in the US and UK over the past five years. In these pages, Levi writes about birds, bees, butterflies, clouds, trees, and other parts of nature in a Zen-like way that shows a peaceful intimacy with the natural world.

Levi also added 26 of his nature photographs, paired with poems. Additionally, the author's short introduction discusses what haiku is and the history of the poetry form.
