The Christian named Job, who was a contemporary and lived during the time of Abraham, cried out, "Though He slays me, yet will I trust in HIM." Job was laying in dust and wallowing in sackcloth and in ashes, scraping himself with broken-pottery to relieve himself of some of the irritation and pain he was suffering from being covered in sore-boils and eaten alive by maggots which thrived upon and consumed the decaying skin and sores of his emaciated flesh.
