Son historias de vida, donde los protagonistas experimentan realidades complejas de inmigracion, violencia, discriminacion, y opresion lingu?stica. Sin embargo, en una narrativa valiente, marcada por una introspeccion profunda, hacen de la adversidad, su potencial. Los estudiantes retoman su capital lingu?stico y publicamente hacen que sus voces trasciendan y sus historias perduren, como un acto de amor a su lengua materna, en una dinamica de alternancia contacto, hasta de amalgamamiento entre el espanol y el ingles, lejos de toda supresion. Este libro puede servir para estudios en el campo de ciencias sociales y humanas. Living In Two Languages is a journey through memory, the power of the word, and the capacity for resilience by students in the Spanish for Heritage Speakers at Chemeketa Community College.
