Afterglow is Book 3 in Sidetracked Series and a direct continuation of Borderline: Sidetracked Part 2.

As such, this description includes major spoilers for the first two books in the series.

After an especially rough couple of months, things are finally looking up for Jayde and James.

Having survived nearly bleeding to death at the hands of Jayde's seemingly unhinged sponsor and gaining the ability to turn into cats as nature-or science, in Jayde's case-intended, the reunited couple are in desperate need of rest and relaxation.

Unfortunately, life has other plans.

Between dealing with James' emotionally abusive father, attempting to decipher Ice's increasingly cryptic text messages, avoiding the deeper implications of her dreamscape visions, and deflecting well-intentioned questions from new friends and strangers alike, Jayde can't seem to catch a break!

But it's nothing a fun weekend trip to the beach can't solve, right?
