Do You Know What I Am?: Creepy Crawlers

This rhyming picture book is for children ages 5-8, grades kindergarten to third

grade, but can be enjoyed by children of all ages as well. This is a rhyming picture

book of creepy bugs that may be used as a guessing game that aids in children’s cognitive

development. Clues are given about a creepy crawler using rhyming descriptions. After
the clues are read, children are shown four pictures of different insects (some may

guess correctly without seeing the four pictures). Based on the simple rhyming clues

that were given, children are asked to pick the bug or insect that they believe is being described.
Words to reinforce the clues are shaded in colors. Teachers and parents

may add their own clues as well. This picture book allows teachers and parents to

introduce their students and children to bugs that they may not be familiar with,

and to discuss their differences. This rhyming picture book is also a great book to introduce
reading to young children.
