There were many different experiences in my childhood that changed a part of me as a person but the called on my life caused me to see the world through new eyes. Some of those challenges still exist but the Holy Spirit inside of me pushes me out of my comfort zone to overcome these hurdles in our society today. Macy Hill became a role model for her peers. She exhibited courage, determination, and strength as a leader. She embraced her role with confidence to the end. Macy refused to let fear hinder her because she stood her ground and earned respect. The big challenge is to keep our goals in front of us and work toward gender equality in our world. Macy’s passion drove her to organize the first athletic program for girls in her school. Macy was the first female to get a day of recognition in her hometown. Macy Hill’s Day was celebrated annually.
