Telsharu the cursed has escaped from his hundred-year imprison-ment with re-new-ed determination to end the tyran-nical rule of the emperor, the ‘Divinely-Chosen One.’ As Telsharu advances on the Imperial City to assassinate the emperor, he leaves destruc-tion in his wake.
Out of the impending chaos, three unlikely heroes emerge-
Daryun yearns for the peace of his remote village and his young wife, but is impelled to return to his life as an itinerant swordsman to fight for that peace. Xansul, a young aristocrat and leader of a secret insurrection against the tyrant emperor, struggles for free-dom and justice. But he may have to surrender both to confront an even greater evil. ShianMai, fiercely loyal to her father, the emperor, she discovers his flaws too late as Telsharu’s threat draws ever nearer to her family and her home.
These three extraordinary heroes must decide whether they will fight their own adversaries, or stand together against the legendary forces-earthly and un-earthly- that threaten to tear the fabric of their world apart.
The Tale of Telsharu is set in an imaginary Asian land with its own extensive history, distinctive culture, and rich heritage of martial arts. The story combines an exciting mix of high fantasy and wuxia (Asian martial arts adventure), culminating in an epic battle pitting tyranny on one hand, and anarchy on the other.
