Joy Outside the Box is a 32 page picture book about a young girl that has the desire and talent to be a ballerina in a dance company. She and her little dog dance everywhere they go together. She quickly discovers at an audition that she doesn’t look like everyone else on the stage. Join Joy as she discovers that even if she doesn’t fit inside a box her passion and dancing feet will take her leaping across the stage.

Although this story is told about Joy as a ballet dancer it is about so much more than the plot. It is a story for anyone that struggles to see themselves in a role that their type of person is not normally represented.
