Colossi

David Capps’s Colossi is a collection filled with light, light in a canyon, the blue-grey light of morning, the starlight the field mice speak of, moonlight, blue light, and golden light, and the white light that shines on strangers in the checkout line. And there is dark, as well, as there must be, but always light enough to see by and so perceive by. Colossi is a meditation on the insistent is, is, is, on the unsayable [that] buds / below the significance of any proposition. -Jeff Mock
