Steve Elliott was born in the countryside of Western Australia, went to university in Perth, and went on to become an exploration geologist around the world. His career choice instilled a persistent curiosity about the planet, the universe, and people, leading to the research that became this book. I don’t pretend that it has all of the known facts, as any such volume would fill several libraries. But I hope I have presented enough to make you curious. Today he lives in Perth with his wife Sally, dog Florence, and cat Smudge.
