As in the author’s fictional trilogy of A Woman In Love, her character Clementine falls deeply in love with Ravel, who in turn romances her and thrills her with his passion and knowledge.
He seems to be all that love could ever mean, until he is not. Clementine’s dream comes to an abrupt halt once they are married for the second time. Ravel seems to change and then the drama starts. Clementine, though still in love, grows feelings of extreme disappointment.
Reflections of My Soul: A Lyrical Interlude pays tribute to the hurt and pain of burdening love. Lost love and hope. But even though the love is painful it still remains, as she must still go on with her life.
About the Author: C. Dale Baldwin grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She previously wrote two books of poetry, plus five other books. Her poetry explores the emotions of the woman in her A Woman in Love trilogy. I am inspired by the ups and downs of relations and marriages that I’ve been exposed to from friends and family as well as my own. I want to show that love is a complicated thing and that it isn’t always pure, true, or good. God touched my heart and told me to write this.
