On May 25, 2000, Mike Palmer, an aerospace engineer and a recognized expert in wind-tunnel design, was dressed and ready to meet friends for a round of golf. His wife Brenda was in the kitchen making him a sandwich. Brenda thought he was tweaking an AutoCAD drawing of a new and exciting project-a wind tunnel that would allow recreational users to experience the feel of sky-diving. Instead, she found him in his home office sitting in his chair, unable to move or respond. He had experienced a massive hemorrhage from a congenital time bomb in his brain. The odds of his survival, much less his regaining a semblance of his former abilities, were slim. Only time and patience would tell.
Told by Brenda, this is the story of how, catapulted into an unexpected free-fall of their own, the Palmer family would embark on an arduous journey only to discover that what Jesus said is true. Although the paths we walk may challenge everything we know and hope for, with the commitment to keep moving and the support of a community of believers around us-even if we have the littlest faith-we can speak to the mountains we encounter…
And they will move.
