Maurice Lee Gifford served in the Army and later worked for Oscar Mayer in Madison, WS, Rohr Aircraft in Riverside, CA, and director of purchasing for the Hawaiian Sugar Co. in Hilo, Hawaii. He died in Prescott, AZ in 2006. This was his only published novel.
