Briar Egibi has had just about all she can stand of Wichita, Kansas. Her spells fizzle out more often than not, and hiding her witchery from everyone has left her with no real friends to speak of. She needs a change of pace, and the warm sands and sunshine of Belize call to her like nothing ever has.

But Belize is a much bigger adventure than she anticipated. And at the heart of it, a gorgeous man with a mysterious job who gives her a fake name. Turns out there is far more paranormal to Belize than a single, imported, half-trained witch, and Briar finds herself pulled into a world far beyond anything her late aunt warned her about.
