Ernest and Newell

Bitter, cantankerous Newell, who can't walk without the aid of a cane or a walker, rails against aging, loss, and life itself. His long-suffering younger brother, Ernest, does his best to dodge the verbal blows that assault him daily. A bit of assistance comes in the way of their Portuguese housekeeper, who teaches them a profound lesson about love; their Italian barber, who just might have a solution to Newell's infirmity; and a feline companion, who softens their hearts as only a cat can.
