A young Aboriginal girl named Mary Coombla, she is a prodigy destined for greatness. She grew up in the infamous suburb REDFERN-Sydney, an Aboriginal enclave and she was on the cutting edge breaking the stereotype of her past generation.

She received a national scholarship to an all girl white school and she was the token pupil. Among many challenges she excelled above all expectation. Poetry and English was her forte and then she turned from page to stage and became a Dub-Poet to national acclaim.

She was a Star with many public appearances and she was known as the Bag Poet. An Australian imaginary story of Aboriginal upliftment and social progress. My contribution to Australian literature. I therefore give thanks the local Kooris(Aborigines) for an insight to their traditional way of life.

My time spent on the streets of Sydney was an insight for the writing of this children story.
