When Kay Ellis is offered the job of assistant anthropologist at the Henry Proutman Museum, she is at first excited to have a fulltime, well-paying job in a new town. But things turn sour when she meets the museum’s owner, Zaydee Proutman, the aging and self-centered widow of the museum’s founder.
