The Price of Freedom is the sixth and final book in a series of thoroughly researched novels about the American Revolution, focusing on the roles of ordinary people, including free African American soldiers, women and native Americans in our war for independence. It covers the period after the victory at Yorktown in October 1781 through the Continental Officers Mutiny in March 1783 and the evacuation of Loyalists and 3,000 newly freed African American slaves from New York City by the British in the late fall of 1783.
