The Eldridge Incident

1944, the height of World War II. Powerful Navies have the fought the globes vast oceans to a near stalemate. In an effort to tip the scales a navy destroyer, the Eldridge, is quietly dispatched to the South Pacific on a field mission to test its experimental cargo, a new innovation in camouflaging technology known only as ‘the device.’ After a number of successful engagements, all radio contact with the Eldridge is inexplicably lost. The ship, with its captain, its crew, and its compliment of German scientists, has simply vanished.
