Reitrin nodded and ran to the village with Sia and Ace in tow. Get off! Alex cursed Etakai colorfully, but then Etakai drew a knife and held the point to Alex’s nose. Now, listen carefully, Etakai purred in his icy voice. Alex froze. I need Ace to get myself home, so you and your little fire-breathing pal won’t interfere. Understand? Alex held his breath and looked up at Etakai whose green eye was glowing. What are you? Alex whispered. His voice was thin with fear. To be honest, I don’t know anymore, Etakai replied. He knocked Alex out with one strike, then stood up and followed Reitrin.
