Welcome to the Salt Mine, a black ops agency that monitors and manages supernatural activity from its subterranean headquarters in the deep mineral mines of Detroit, Michigan, USA. An earthquake in Japan during the Open Go Championship reproduces a famous game configuration that arouses the concerns of the Japanese public as well as the interest of the Iron Mine. Unfortunately for Kanali Patel, the head of the Iron Mine, the few agents she has are assigned to jobs too important to interrupt so she has to turn to the powerful, but unpredictable, Sukchu Yi, librarian of the Iron Mine. After assessing the situation, Yi feels compelled to call upon the help of an old friend.
