This is one of those rare books by a debut author that touches your heart right from the beginning and makes you want to find out more about a twenty-five-year-old main character who has hitchhiked to the Maritimes in Canada and has gradually fallen away from his Christian background, finding his lifestyle to be buried in drugs, booze, and thought.
