Tears of the Phoenix

In Tears of the Phoenix, author Lonnie Beerman does an outstanding job of bringing to life three young boys who deal with issues real boys experience on a daily basis; bullying, domestic abuse, absence of a father or one who doesn’t engage, death and more, all from the perspective of three troubled, amazingly wonderful kids.

This book is a window into the innermost thoughts and feelings of boys and men. It will heal not only men and boys but also the women who love them and struggle to understand them.

Lonnie Beerman does an incredible job bringing all the characters to life. You will laugh, cry, reflect, and feel as if you not only know these characters personally, but want to know more about each of them. You will truly fall in love with them.

This story takes you to a place and time you won’t want to leave as the characters become a part of you. There is never a dull moment with many twists and turns and things you could never have predicted. The one thing you can predict is portrayed in one of the most beautiful ways ever written.
