This is Ms. Simmons’ first foray into the world of non-fiction writing. She still resides in her hometown of Fayetteville, NC and has been retired from the local Telephone Company since 2003. She also worked as a teacher’s aide on Fort Bragg for ten years. She has over 30 nieces and nephews to keep her young and traveling up and down those highways.

For someone who is use to reading urban fiction, this book was a pleasant change. Not a single curse word spoken. Not a sex scene to be found. No drugs, no violence and no killing. Believe me when I say that this is a book that you will not be able to put this book down. You will laugh, cry and grow to love the Simmons family and know exactly why they are Just One Unbeatable Family . Great job Maureen!
