Highboy Rings Down the Curtain
George Agnew Chamberlain
George Agnew Chamberlain's 1923 story about a proud, high-stepping horse and its aging owner. The story pivots around a high-spirited gelding named Highboy, who has been given up as too recalcitrant to ever be a show horse. Bimbo, Kindly Crewe's resident horse trainer, believes that Highboy has great potential and needs someone like Kindly to give him a reason to show off his abilities. The story goes on to tell just how that happens.
