God has abundantly given everything we need. Body, consciousness, intellect, mind and senses are all designed by Him to suit our requirement. But man does not know himself, does not know God and does not try to know God. In the process of evolution, he has died and taken birth innumerable times. Why is it so and for what purpose? Why death penalty is imposed again and again in spite of so many good works. For one crime, one punishment is justified. But so many times death punishment! That indicates that man habitually commits not merely ‘sin’ but ‘great sin’. That is why multiple death punishments are awarded. Now the question is- What is that unknown and mysterious ‘great sin’ which man commits habitually resulting in chain of deaths and births? The great Greek philosopher Socrates answers- Ignorance is a great sin. Sins result in sufferings. Not knowing the Creator is ignorance. Not knowing the Self is ignorance. Not evincing interest to know the Creator is greater ignorance. Due to ignorance we commit multiple sins. We, at times, try to do penance for the sins committed. But we are never aware that our inherent ignorance breeds all sins. If the inherent darkness of ignorance is targeted by the light of knowledge, all sins will automatically vanish and with them all resultant sufferings.

This book explains truth, consciousness, peace and liberation and focuses on knowledge and divine virtues for a purposeful life while at the same time getting rid of all sins and sufferings. True human life is a journey from ignorance to wisdom, from a purposeless way of life to conscious attainment of the goal he is entitled to.
