A side-e ect of the military industrial complex, Jameson Bayles was born at a hospital at Forbes Field AFB just south of Topeka, KS. By the age of eighteen, Jameson had participated in a refueling mission with F-16s over the skies in South Dakota, stood atop an active missile silo, and was the bait in a counter-terrorism exercise with Air Force Special Forces at Whiteman AFB. A er watching Krist Novoselic obtain a head injury at the 1992 MTV Music Awards, Jameson decided to pursue the path of becoming a poet. In addition to being a roving correspondent for Poetrybay, Jameson co-curated the 2016 KC Poetry rowdown with Jason Ryberg at Prospero’s Books in Kansas City, MO.
