The Biddeford Spies is a fast-paced, thought-provoking World War II story with many twists.

German SS Agent Guenther Engel is assigned to Covert Operations, helping train Gestapo agents for espionage work in America. Behind bulletproof glass, technicians are demonstrating a new terror device that fires a pattern of tiny metal darts followed by a flash fire.

He turned to Agent Otto Langer, saying, The device will injure those close by and create chaos and panic for the others, the ultimate terror weapon. You’ll have six devices, Langer, use them wisely, the sooner the better. We need to bring the war to everyday Americans who think they are protected by the Atlantic Ocean.

Brooklyn, New York:

A man walking his dog asked, What happened at the dance hall?

Langer responded, I don’t know.

Oh my God, that girl is on fire, she needs help.

Nazi Germany needs to sink American convoys supplying British and Russian forces. Anxious to bring the fight to America, in April 1942, with help from a local contact, the Gestapo land two agents in Biddeford, Maine. Their final destination is New York City. The agents have a two-pronged mission: gather intelligence on American convoys and terrorize New York City.
