Once Upon a Lifetime

Lolita was raised in what is now a nearly extinct era by pioneer career missionaries, later becoming a missionary in her own right. Although intended mainly as a memoir for her descendants, her story offers a unique and transparent look at missionary family life, re-entry into USA culture, right up to her present circumstances. From her childhood as a singing prodigy, learning and gleaning from inter-cultural exposure at a very young age, teen rebellion, living through several political upheavals, dangerous encounters and family challenges, Lolita’s many faceted life is an encouraging story of the power of a consistent life-long faith and trust in God.
