The Warden Bad Blood

It’s been a long time since a female werewolf has walked through the doors of Danato’s prison, but not long enough.

When a member of the council of the moon arrives at the prison to request Ethan’s services, Danato is immediately suspicious, but he can hardly refuse a femwolf. Since werewolf containment is one of the few services that actually brings money into the prison instead of out, keeping the council happy is a high priority.

The only person less happy about Ethan leaving the prison in the hands of Leona, is Cori. Her history with the woman has her fearing the worst. Either Ethan’s life was in danger or his fidelity was.

As if that isn’t enough to put a damper on her week, Cori catches Efrat, the erratic elemental that nearly killed her during his escape attempt, roaming freely around the prison. One super-powered blast of electricity paired with the time bubble equals a whole lot of trouble for Cori. Her consciousness is thrown into a time schism and she discovers that Danato’s second in command, Belus, is going to be shot later that day.

Wrought with worry and confusion each dizzying time jump sets the clock back for everyone except her. She is forced to explain the situation to Danato over and over again, but with every round his reactions to her situation become more and more alarming. Her concerns for protocol evaporate, and once again she is alone in her quest to save the day. With no one else to rely on, she is forced to recruit Efrat to help save Belus. A feat that puts her life in the hands of the very man who has tried more than once to kill her.
