Mother M. Corona: Her Life and Legacy

Mother Corona Wirfs was a stellar leader of the School Sisters of St. Francis, an international congregation. She served as president from 1942-1960, to nearly 4,000 members whose lives affected people in the United States, Europe, and Central America primarily through education and health care. She exerted her influence at a time when men dominated the world.History provides today’s leaders with role models as they navigate through the complexities of modern life. In addition to building a college, two high schools, two hospitals, and many other laudatory works, her story can offer direction to contemporary leaders and help clarify their values and ideals.
