If you’re open to listening, and curious enough to ask, the person sitting next to you might have an extraordinary story to tell.
That is how this book came to be. Jon I. Cork is an ordinary man with an extraordinary story to tell. He’s not a mogul, he’s not a celebrity-he’s just a man, living his life, and learning a few things along the way. Author Stephen Salaycik spent hours interviewing Cork, and found meaning in telling the story. He believes Cork’s story needs to be shared with the world, and he hopes readers will enjoy the story, too.
Salaycik was struck by the importance of telling the story of a complicated, but common man, discovering his life lessons, philosophies, dreams, ponderings, and other messages now uncorked for the reader.
I just wanted to tell his story. That’s all.
I just want people to enjoy it.
Stephen A. Salaycik (Steve) is a Viet Nam era veteran who served 10-½ years in the U.S. Air Force. He received his Masters Degree from the University of Nebraska in 1981, after which he was employed as a therapist at a County Mental Health Center for 33 years. His career also encompassed maintaining a private practice for over 27 years in Lincoln, Nebraska.
