Stevenson focuses on the case of Walter McMillian, a black man who was falsely convicted of the murder of Ronda Morrison and placed on death row. Through an investigation and painstaking appeals process, Stevenson ultimately succeeds in exposing the testimony against McMillian as false, wrongly obtained through police coercion and perjury. As a result, McMillan’s sentence is overturned and he is cleared of all charges…
