This book is the outgrowth of many years of stories, questions and travels that have been cultivated over time. Being adopted, I have to take others’ word for the beginning of my story. It is said I was found on my adopted parents porch one cold fall morning when still an infant. I didn’t know at that stage, for my parents never told me anything regarding the adoption until my biological father’s death.
It has taken me fifty years to slow down long enough to get the facts of my early life down on paper and in order. Over that period numerous people asked me why I wasn’t curious about my family and the reasons why I was put up for adoption. It did make me wonder for a few minutes from time to time, but it was history and I was busy making a life as a doctor, a family man and a future. Now the imminent is here, and I have most of the answers to my questions to share with others in the world.
