My Call of Abraham is part memoir and part history book written by a man who seems to be able to accomplish whatever he sets his mind to.

Sam’s parents escaped Poland just months ahead of Hitler’s invasion and Sam grew up while WWII raged in Europe. He enjoyed a remarkably happy childhood as he, his sister and mother sheltered against the bombs dropping during the Israeli War for Independence.

He served in the Israeli military, and was called back to service during the Six-Day War while attending Tel Aviv University. He earned his Bs degree in biology then went to UC Davis in California to earn a PhD degree.

His professional life changed course many times; Biologist, Acarologist, Physiologist, Plant Virologist, and Health Physicist.

Sam also ran a business from his garage creating photography chemicals and later, started a vineyard from scratch, gathering vines from around the world and making wine he sold locally.
